~*~ Week 26 ~*~

It's getting closer and closer. . . so exciting. Pretty much a lot of the same stuff this week and in previous weeks, peeing. . . heart burn. . . baby movements :o) (the smiley face is for the movements not the peeing and heart burn) Another reason for smiles is there is still no traces of stretch marks!!! WWWooooohoooooo! Every once in a while I check to make sure the belly ring is still open and so far so good with that. I'm really only comfortable in maternity clothes so I need Eric to constantly do my laundry. Too bad for him. But there was something awesome that happened last night. . . so if you remember from previous posts every time I try to get Eric to feel the baby kicking, Logan stops :o( Well last night Eric and I were sitting on the couch and I felt a kick so I grab his hand and of course what happens. . .Logan stops, EEEEEERRRRRR. So I told Eric to just watch. . . and he kicked!!!! So Eric got to see a kick, he thought it was cool and I was just so beyond excited! Well on to the pictures. . .
So this week Logan is about the length a cucumber, 15 inches and 2.2 pounds.

Or on another site he is about the size of an eggplant.

Internally. . . Logan's nerve pathways are developing in his ears so he will begin to respond more and more to sounds. My back aches more and more as time continues since my center of gravity is all sorts of messed up. And on another note Logan's "boy" parts are still growing and his "2 berries" are descending.

Belly picture. . . looking more and more pregnant! And thankfully I haven't had any run ins w/ belly touching strangers :o)

~*~ Week 25 ~*~

Now that I'm 25 weeks along I've looked back at my journey so far and I cant believe that I've known about my baby boy for 20 weeks. Time is going by so fast it really blows my mind. Everything is going good but sometimes everything seems so surreal. On Sunday I attended my sister in law's baby shower. She is due exactly 2 months before me. . .I'm beyond excited for her!!!! Plus she'll be giving me the play by play of what to expect. Logan still moves around from time to time while I was on my way to the shower it felt like he was tumbling around in there, I still love feeling every movement its like nothing I could ever describe. But when ever my hubby is around Logan doesn't really move so he still is yet to feel Logan moving. Eric thinks Logan already "Respects his authority" and hides out when he's around. I also picked up some more maternity clothes they are just so much more comfortable than my regular clothes. So when possible I choose to wear my maternity threads. I have also learned the further along you get the more uncomfortable movies are to sit through. . . I went with the hubby and a few friends to see Alice in Wonderland, which was good but I was in so much pain just sitting there. UGH! And also I have set my appointment for my glucose test thankfully some really nice friends have come forward to try to set my mind at ease and let me know it is not as bad as I think it will be. Hopefully my appointment for that on April 3rd goes by quickly!
So onto Little Logan (or as my mother in law tells me. . .my father in law will call him Hawk, since he loves the movie Hudson Hawk. I love the nickname by the way!) He is the size of a rutabaga.

Internally, Logan is now starting to pack on the baby fat and is looking more and more like a newborn baby. Also his hair color and texture is more recognizable which may change after he is born. . . and considering all of the heartburn I'm still having there really must be a whole lotta hair!

And the belly shot with my new maternity jeans and shirt :o)

~*~Week 24~*~

So I'm 24 weeks in now. I finally broke down last week and bought some maternity clothes. I really couldn't make it any longer so I took a trip down to Motherhood Maternity over at the Westfarms Mall. I was intimidated at first since I was alone and had no idea what to get and trying on clothes at this point. . . lets just say it's not very appealing. But I walked away w/ 6 shirts, 1 sweater, 2 pairs of work pants and a pair of jeans. I will need to go shopping again soon but hey its a start. What's great is my maternity shirts are so cute I think I'll be able to pull them off even when I'm not pregnant. Other than that I also made all of my invitations for my NY Baby shower. . .that was a lot more work than I thought it would be but I really LOVE the way they have turned out, which makes it all worth it. It was also nice to hear that my mom is getting excited about my shower. It will be over at my parents new house so I can't wait! Back to what's new with the pregnancy. . .still a lot of the same, peeing A LOT, some heart burn and gas build up (which was lovely for chest pains today). Today I had my 24 week check up and everything looks good. . .I'm a whooping 179 pounds now. . .God that sounds so depressing! But Logan's heart beat is strong and it was like music to my ears :o) But now the doctor says I need to take out my belly button ring. . . I'm so upset about this! I have had this since I was 16 that's almost 11 years. I don't think I can go through the re-piercing process again so I'm still trying to hold off but she says it's really going to have to go soon :o( I also now have to schedule the dreaded glucose test which I fear. See with me if something doesn't taste good. . . strong gag reflex. . .sends chills down my spine just thinking of it. . .yuck! I'm going to attempt to schedule that appointment for this Saturday so we will see how that works out.
This week Logan is about the length of an ear of corn (8.5 inches and 1.5 pounds). MMMMM I think this just triggered a craving. . . spring is almost here!

Internally my uterus is now about the size of a soccer ball. Logan's lungs are undergoing some development. . .the branches of the respiratory tree are growing and developing cells that will produce a substance that will allow the air sachs to inflate easily. Lastly he is developing his taste buds. . .so I hope he likes my cravings of the moment which include Coco puffs, McDonald's, Dutch Pancakes, Chocolate ice cream, ect. . . .

And here I am in my week 24 belly picture. . .I'm wearing my new maternity clothes here. . .and yup those are maternity jeans :o)

~*~ Week 23 ~*~

It is now week 23 and the weird pregnancy/baby dreams are in full force along with the constant need to pee every 5 minutes. But the most exciting thing happened Monday night. I was lounging out on the couch waiting for my hubby to get home and Logan went on a kicking spree for about 10-15 seconds. . .of course my husband walked in 5 minutes later so he didn't get to feel it :o( GO FIGURE! He still isn't kicking very much so when he does I get beyond excited. Well I'm still in my regular clothes but I shouldn't be so I'm thinking about maybe going shopping tomorrow for some stuff. Other than that things are pretty much normal.
So according to one of my sites Logan is the size of a Mango. . .

Internally this is the development. . . his skin is red and wrinkled but as he develops more fat those wrinkles will soon go away. The loud noises he hears in utero shouldn't bother him after birth. . .maybe I should vacuum more often then?

And here is my belly picture. . . as you can see I really really really need maternity clothes!

Shower Invitations :o)

So I know I shouldn't have but I really couldn't help myself. I had a great idea inspired by my wedding planner/boss for a baby shower invitation. Since the baby room theme is Winnie the Pooh I figured I would translate that to the shower :o) Here is what I came up with. . .

So as you can see the characters are raised off the invite :o) Eric helped also he found the little poem that is included.

~*~ Week 22 ~*~

5 months along. . . only 4 more to go. Feeling pretty good lately but that's only if I make sure that I'm in bed by 9:00pm any later than that and I don't quite know how to make it through the day. I think he's moving around some more but nothing major, it's not really all that noticeable :o( And every time time I yell for my husband to come over and feel there's nothing. . .what a bummer! Corey (my sister in law whom is also expecting) and I took a trip over to Babies r' us. . .gosh is that store overwhelming. I was able to get some of the bigger items onto the registry but I feel like I still have a ways to go.

Now this site goes to months and stops counting by weeks. . .

And on this other site he is the size of spaghetti squash. . .

Internally here a peek. . . although they keep telling me I may start to see stretch marks so far knock on wood. . . things are looking good on that front! His eyes are still fused shut but his iris lacks pigment. His lips are becoming more distinct and his tooth buds are developing beneath the gum line. His sill is wrinkled and will continue that way until he gains enough weight to fill it out.

And the belly picture. . . I don't feel that big but I feel huge just looking at this picture. . . it will only continue. . .
